We Five Governance

Five seats. Two-year terms. Mahila majority by rule.

bNg is run by an elected council of five Karyakartas, supported by a permanent advisory seat for the Founder. Three of every five seats must be held by women.

  • Sarpanch

    Ceremonial head of the council. Speaks on behalf of bNg in public forums, signs MoUs with panchayats, blesses every new chapter.

  • Karyakarta Pradhan

    Member-experience custodian. Owns onboarding, dispute resolution, mentor-matching and the Green Rating ladder.

  • Kosadhyaksha

    Treasurer of the BC ledger. Audits every transaction batch, reports monthly, signs off redemptions over 1,000 BC.

  • Gyana Sachiv

    Knowledge secretary. Owns training content, FAQ accuracy, scheme-navigation playbooks and the blog editorial calendar.

  • Rakshak

    Guardian. Looks after safety, code-of-conduct enforcement, mahila helpline and the Tiranga civic-duty programme.

Election Rules

Transparent. Time-bound. Mahila-majority by design.

Every two years, all Gold and Platinum Karyakartas vote for a new We Five. Below are the rules in full — they have not been amended since 2021 and will remain so until a two-thirds majority of the Founder’s Circle proposes a change.

  • Term length

    Two years. A retiring office-bearer may stand for one consecutive re-election only.

  • Eligibility

    Platinum-tier Karyakartas with at least 18 months of continuous service and a clean dispute record.

  • Reservation

    A minimum of 3 of the 5 seats must be held by women — currently honoured in every cycle since 2021.

  • Voting

    Open ballot of all Gold and Platinum Karyakartas. Each member gets one vote per role.

  • Recall

    A two-thirds vote of the Founder’s Circle plus 30% of voters can recall any office-bearer mid-term.

  • Founder’s seat

    The Founder & President holds a permanent advisory seat outside the elected five.
