Why 108? The Sacred Count of Wholeness
In Indian tradition, 108 is the number of names of every deity, the number of prayer beads on a mala, the number of dance postures in classical Bharatanatyam, and the number of breaths a yogi takes in deep meditation. It represents wholeness, completion, and cosmic order.
Our catalogue honours this by starting with exactly 108 — not because every Indian household needs all 108, but because together they represent the wholeness of community exchange.
Phase 1 — Pilot Launch
Months 1–3
These 108 listings are the starter catalogue for the Ameerpet / Punjagutta and Konakanchi pilots. Each chapter aims to have at least one provider for each of the 108 listings within 90 days of launch.
Phase 2 — Chapter Maturation
Months 4–12
As member numbers grow, multiple providers compete and quality improves. The catalogue expands to ~250 listings per chapter, with new categories added based on member demand.
Phase 3 — Network Scale
Year 2+
The catalogue becomes living and chapter-specific. Each chapter customises based on local economy. National-level featured listings rotate weekly on the homepage.
Catalogue total: 108 listings · canonical numbering 1–108.
